Navajo flat bread toastada


Sift in a bowl:
4 1/2 cups flour or gf mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
* if using gf mix add 2 teaspoons xanthan gum

Stir in 1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup milk

knead with hands. Pat or roll into circles approximately 5" in diameter. With fingers make a small hole in the center. Fry in several inches of hot oil. Dough will puff and bubble.
